Future Clouds & Radar - "Build Havana"

Explore  the StarAppleKingdom

Here is another song by the same guy - I think he's called Robert Harrison - from the days
when he was in a band called Cotton Mather. It's called Spin My Wheels.

Beatles ??

More like the Beatles than any cover version of any Beatles song, "Lies" was in fact - or allegedly - written
by "Beau Charles", the lead vocalist of this odd looking American band called The Knickerbockers.

I'm not sure whether he's the one playing the Rickenbacker guitar, or the one who's
playing the silent saxophone; but the whole thing sounds very like Lennon & McCartney to me.

Ben Harper - "Excuse Me Mister"

Ben Harper is wonderful. This is from his 1995 album "Fight for your Mind".

I was reminded of this song recently when watching coverage of Tony Hayward, BP's
CEO, being grilled by US politicians about the oil spill in the Gulf.

OK Go - End Love

Perhaps a better video than song, but it's pretty entertaining.

You can listen to their album here

These are the same guys who made the famous "treadmill" video which you can watch here

M. Ward - RequIem

This track, Requiem, comes from one of Matt Ward's older albums called Post-War (2006).

I really enjoy his music. If you like what you've heard, you can listen to the whole of his
new album, Hold Time, here at Merge Records.

American Music Club - 'All the lost Souls'

Mark Eitzel's American Music Club make great music.

If you like it, you can listen to the album at Merge Records, here

Carolina Chocolate Drops - "Genuine Negro Jig" Live

I was intrigued when the Carolina Chocolate Drops received great reviews
for their new album so I listened to it, and liked what I heard.
But the music and the band really come to life - as the clip above and these pictures
demonstrate - in a live performance.

There is nothing better than being there to see the music live.
So, this is the next best thing.

Devil's Little Finger (feat. Bozo) DEMO by Jeanie in the Radiator

I can boast that I know some of these very talented people really well...
I'd like you to imagine that's because I'm really well connected, but actually
it's because I'm related to 2 of them.

Damn the way talent skips a generation. That would be my generation.
